The Laney-Roo: Our Ketchikan Charter Boat
A 27-foot North River Seahawk Offshore, built for Southeast Alaska and set up for real fishing days.
Built for this water
North River builds heavy-gauge aluminum boats for exactly this kind of coast, and the Seahawk Offshore is their serious fishing platform. The Laney-Roo pairs a stable, workmanlike fishing deck with an enclosed heated cabin, which matters more than any spec sheet on a rainy Ketchikan morning. When the weather turns, you warm up inside and keep fishing. When a big fish is on, there is room on deck to fight it properly.
On board
- 27’ North River Seahawk Offshore hull
- Twin 200-horsepower Mercury outboards
- Enclosed, heated cabin

- Air-ride seats that take the chop out of the run
- Room for up to six anglers, with more boats available for bigger groups
- Quality rods, reels, tackle, and bait included
- Life jackets aboard, including kids’ PFDs

Why the boat matters for a full day
A ten-hour day is only as good as the boat you spend it on. Twin 200-horsepower Mercury outboards are what put the farther grounds within reach on a full-day trip, and the cabin, seats, and deck space are what keep six anglers comfortable getting there and back. It is also a boat sized for the way we fish at Alaska Fishing Company, with small groups, personal attention, and the captain a step away all day.
